Georgia Motor Trucking
Association

The Georgia Motor Trucking Association is the only organization in the state that provides full-time service and representation for the trucking industry. The Association serves as the “voice” of the trucking industry in Georgia, representing for-hire carriers, private carriers, and affiliate members.

South Carolina Trucking
Association

As a non-profit trade association, the SCTA serves as the voice of the trucking industry in South Carolina since 1933. Membership has grown from 17 dues-paying members in 1936, to a high point of almost 900 companies by the mid-nineties, to about 600 members today.

The association's carrier members range from small, family-owned businesses with only a few vehicles, to large, national companies with major terminal facilities throughout South Carolina, the southeast, and the nation. Small businesses comprise the majority of SCTA membership.

National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners Search

For Carriers, Drivers, and State Drivers License Agencies:

The newly developed search tool allows stakeholders to verify that a Medical Examiner is certified and listed on the National Registry. By entering the National Registry number and selecting Search, you will be provided with a certified Medical Examiner’s name, zip code, proximity, registry number, and date of certification. If a result is not returned within an expanded radius, the city, state combination, zip code, or registry number is not valid, and/or the provider is not certified.

FMCSA

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) was established within the Department of Transportation on January 1, 2000, pursuant to the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act of 1999 (49 U.S.C. 113). Formerly a part of the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's primary mission is to prevent commercial motor vehicle-related fatalities and injuries. Activities of the Administration contribute to ensuring safety in motor carrier operations through strong enforcement of safety regulations; targeting high-risk carriers and commercial motor vehicle drivers; improving safety information systems and commercial motor vehicle technologies; strengthening commercial motor vehicle equipment and operating standards; and increasing safety awareness. To accomplish these activities, the Administration works with Federal, State, and local enforcement agencies, the motor carrier industry, labor and safety interest groups, and others.
